Visual Stories
Melinda Maerker is a visual storyteller with a strong sense of narrative and a distinct ability to tap into the emotional side of a story—from LGBTQ+ families living in the Midwest to the mental health struggles of a former Green Beret to a couple facing infertility.
Her background in screenwriting also influences her films—whether documentaries or promotional videos. And her keen sense of visual detail stems initially from her work as a photographer. She’s also driven by a personal passion for the subjects of her films.
